Jamie Gibson

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer

Mr Gibson is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Kingsgate Consolidated Limited. Since joining the company in 2013, he has been instrumental in shaping corporate strategy, managing investor relations, and successfully restarting the Chatree Gold Mine.

An accomplished corporate professional, Mr Gibson has previously served as Chief Advisor in the mining portfolios (metals and coal) for the Australian Government, bringing extensive trade and investment expertise within the Asia-Pacific region. He is a Director of Akara Resources Public Company and has made significant contributions as a Board Member and Vice President of the Australia Thailand Business Council.

Mr Gibson holds a Master of Business Administration and a Graduate Certificate in Global Business Practice from Macquarie University, as well as a Diploma of Management from the Sydney Institute of Technology. He is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Dan O’Connell

Chief Financial Officer

Mr O’Connell has extensive leadership experience across financial and commercial disciplines within Australian listed multinational mining companies. Prior to joining Kingsgate, he was Chief Financial Officer (Interim) of Newcrest Mining Limited, until it was acquired by Newmont Corporation in November 2023. Mr O’Connell’s previous roles include Treasurer, General Manager – Accounting & Finance, Head of Tax and Commercial Manager

His experience includes cross-border acquisitions and divestments, internal and external capital management and global capital markets.

Mr O’Connell holds degrees in Commerce and Arts from the Monash University and a Masters degree in Taxation from the University of Melbourne. He is also a Certified Practising Accountant.

Jillian Terry

General Manager, Geology

Ms Terry is an experienced geologist with over 40 years’ experience across mine, project, resource and exploration geology including throughout Australia, Papua New Guinea, and Laos.

Ms Terry commenced her career as a mine geologist with Newmont Holdings at Telfer Mine and previously held global technical positions including Vice President Geoscience and Vice President Technical Capability at BHP, prior to joining Newcrest Mining as Head of Mineral Resource Management. She was also a non-executive director of Lundin Gold in 2023.

Ms Terry holds a Bachelor of Science Honours (Geology) degree from the University of Melbourne and post graduate qualifications in Mineral Economics from Macquarie University. She is a Fellow of the AusIMM and has been a member of the JORC Executive Committee since 2011.

Stephanie Wen

General Counsel and Company Secretary

Ms Wen is a seasoned legal professional with broad experience across corporate transactions, general commercial legal advisory, regulatory implementation and governance. She has practised corporate law at both top-tier and mid-tier law firms in Asia and Australia and held senior in-house legal counsel role in global financial institutions. Ms Wen previously served as a non-executive director for an ASX-listed healthcare company.

Ms Wen holds a dual degree in Law and Commerce (LL B) (B.Com: Accounting) from the University of New South Wales, and a Master of International Affairs (International Business and Finance) from Columbia University in New York. Additionally, she is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia.

Bob Kennedy

Acting General Manager, Operations

Mr Kennedy is an experienced mining industry professional with over 40 years’ experience. He has extensive knowledge in processing, maintenance, training, and management skills, with a focus on process plant performance with particular emphasis on safety, environment, people, quality, productivity, plant production efficiencies and cost.

Mr Kennedy’s career history includes working with Gold, Copper, Nickel and Mineral Sands in Australia, Cote d’Ivoire, Madagascar, Indonesia, Mauritania, Laos and Papua New Guinea.

He holds an Advanced Diploma of Leadership & Management, Advanced Diploma of Work Health & Safety and qualifications in Metalliferous Mining Operations (Processing).

Bronwyn Parry

General Manager, Corporate & External Relations

Ms Parry joined Kingsgate in 2023 as General Manager, Corporate & External Relations. She is an experienced corporate professional who has worked across internal and external communications, marketing, and advisory functions, most recently at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

Ms Parry holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Science (Geology) from Macquarie University and a Masters degree in Strategic Communication from the University of Technology Sydney. She is also an Associate Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.

Cherdsak Utha-aroon

General Manager, Sustainability

Mr Utha-aroon joined Akara Resources in 2011 and currently oversees regulatory affairs, and community relations and government engagement as General Manager, Sustainability.

Prior to Akara Mr Utha-aroon spent nearly three decades at Thailand’s Department of Mineral Resources across a number of roles across geology, policy and international coordination. Previously he was also a policy and planning expert at the Gem and Jewellery Institute of Thailand.

Mr Utha-aroon holds a Masters degree in Geology from the University of Saskatchewan in Canada.
